Alexander Statement on Senator Hutchison’s Announcement

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, released the following statement today on Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison’s announcement that she will finish her term in the Senate:

“The country and the Republican Party need Kay Bailey Hutchison's wisdom and experience in the U.S. Senate. I am glad she has decided to continue to help provide a check and balance to an overreaching government in Washington.”
