- One thing is clear. One way or another we are going to have an interest in what happens in Iraq for a long time. We should use this time now to develop a consensus on what our presence in Iraq should be, who our friends and enemies are, and how we can develop a strategy that the American people can support. I look forward to reviewing the recommendations from the Iraq Study Group.
